6 month checkup

so, today was the day he had to get those dreadful shots again. he did well and only cried for a minute though. he's all better now knowing that @ his 9 mth check up, he'll be getting a break from those mean ol needles. he's still our little chunky monkey weighing in @ 19 pounds and 3 ounces and 27 inches long, which puts him in the 75th percentile on the growth chart w/ his weight and height. hims just a growin little fella.

here is big man with his new christmas passy that my sweet neighbors bought him. he's usually very picky about his passies and spits them out at me if he doesn't want them, which means we've had the same type for a while now. mams have never been at hit around here, but when i put this one in his mouth and it would fall out, it would have to be put right back in. so, i guess we'll retire the ortho pros and move onto the mams cause he lllloooovvvveeess it more than anything these days. (besides his mommy that is) if you look up close the passy says, "I've been very good." i think it's really cute.

oh my!!!!! where did these 6 months go? it's been half a year already. i can't believe it. we've enjoyed every minute of it, just can't believe how fast it's gone bye. time flies when you're having fun :) this little one is surely keeping us entertained these days. i love all the goofy looking faces he's been making along with those belly laughs. we are soooooooo blessed and soooooo thankful for our little boy. he's our silly little buger.

Guess what Brady Cole can say?

MaMaMa MaMa..... I Love It!! He has discovered that it's a new sound because I really don't know if he knows what he's saying, but I'll take it. I'm answering him when he says it, so that he'll understand that he's calling me. When I put him in his exersaucer to play, for some reason, that's what he starts saying. I'm very suprised that I'm not hearing DaDa because I heard that's what most babies say first, but I'm not complaining. I'm sure it will be coming soon enough. We'll even be riding down the road and he'll be talking to himself in his mirror from his carseat and I'll hear..."MaMaMaMaMa." I just light up like a little kid in a candy store. I just love this little boy!!!!!!

finally, he's not laid back in that darn infant seat anymore......he's a big boy now!!! he loved riding in the cart and was just staring and taking it all in at walmart on saturday. he can actually turn his head and check out the things he wants to look at now. so much more comfortable for our growin lil boy. makes it much easier on mama & dada too!! that heavy seat, plus the weight of our big man was getting........pretty heavy!!

he's really doing well with sitting up. i'm thinking by the next 2 wks, he'll be doing it on his own. he can hold himself up now, but ends up falling over after a few seconds. he's really good at sitting up in his bed because he gets to lean against it for support while he watches his fish go round and round. won't be long and he'll be pulling those fish down!
