1st visit to the dr

 

 

 

this morning we had to take her in for a weight check. she weighed 7'6 at birth and lost down to 6'15 before we left the hospital, so the dr wanted us to come back in to weigh her today. he wanted her to be back to her birth weight by 2 wks and guess what? she weighed in at 7'8 so we were proud to see we had a growing little girl. i knew that she had to have gained some ounces b/c all i feel like i've been doing the past couple of days is feed her and change poopie diapers, but it's working and we're gonna keep doing what we're doing. she's very sweet and so far has been doing great at night. i think she's even starting to get her tummy full when she feeds b/c she's had a couple of 3 1/2 to 4 hr stretches b/t her feedings.

lexi is so protective of her new little sister. she loves her and has to be by her side all the time, especially if somebody new is in her house visiting. buger thought all along that i was having a little girl because of the way lexi acted toward me this pregnancy. she was up my butt all the time. if i went to the bathrooom, lexi went to the bathroom. she would snuggle up to my belly too, which she didn't do much when i was pregnant with brady cole. i guess she knew there would be more estrogen in our household soon.

we made it home yesterday around lunch time. things are going great so far. she's got her eating and pooping down pat and big brother is still in love with her. the boys are at the blue angel air show at the air station today and the girls (lexi too) are home resting. i'll post some more pictures soon.

she was born at 9:25 this morning weighing in at 7 lbs 6 oz and 20 1/4 inches. she looks just like her big brother except for lots of black hair like her mommy in the back. she's so sweet! i'm gonna have lots of adjusting to do with a little girl, but i'm sure i'll do fine. i'm just used to boy things, but i'm sure i'll be able to handle it. we're so blessed to have our little one here. thanks for the prayers and i'll be posting more pics soon.

i'm in the hospital being induced for baby harrison to make his/her entrance into the world some time tomorrow. here are some pictures that we took at home before we left. brady cole is very excited about "his baby" and i can't wait to see his reaction tomorrow. we still don't know what we're having, so if any of you people want to leave me a comment and let me know what you think, i would love to look back on it. we still don't have a set name for a little boy, so i'm guessing it's a boy. i'll list some of our names, that we've talked about and i'm sure it will be one of those.

this year for halloween we went to visit yai yai/paw paw and made our rounds to two of our friends house. brady cole had a great time trick or treating and was really into it. he loved being a banana and was not having it any other way. i tried talking him into being other things and even bought him a woody costume, but nope, he was set on being a "bana." that's what he calls it instead of banana, so i called him my "bana boy." he ended up looking cute and is still asking to wear his bana suit. he's silly!

here are a couple of pictures from a baby shower that many friends had for me 2 wks ago. baby harrison got lots of nice things that we appreciate very much. my co-workers also had me a shower 3 wks ago where i also got many baby goodies. baby harrison was not in need of anything, but we're thankful for everything, and of course i don't think you can ever have enough baby gear...i love it. i don't have any pictures from my shower that my co-workers had for me, but i'll post them when i receive them. i would normally never post pictures of my large, round, humpty dumpty looking self on the internet, but i've had many request and i'm sure one day i might appreciate it.
